I visit Starbucks regularly in Summertown. The employees know what I want before I even get to the counter (soya latte, please.). Recently, the normal pleasantries with the manager turned into a conversation about how Starbucks would like to display work from local artists or photographers on their walls. They asked if I could offer any images of Oxford.

What an opportunity! I wanted to include photographs which appeal to visitors and local residents alike. The series features familiar scenes as well as some which are off the sightseeing trail or taken from an unfamiliar perspective.
