Nothing can prepare a first time parent for life with their newborn; and in my experience, the first few weeks go by in somewhat of a blur.

For Tom and Nicola's photo shoot with 2 week old, Seth, I wanted to document their new life together as it happened.

Tom and Nicola invited me to their home and allowed me to act as a casual observer. In a short space of time, I captured a full range of activity and emotion. Tom and Nicola worked hard to meet Seth's basic needs, sooth his discomfort, rock him to sleep and dote on him as he rested. What made the session even more lovely was Tom and Nicola's evident affection for each other as they worked together.
