Jason and Sharon had requested a photo session to mark Ryan turning 6 months old at Blenheim Palace. The thing is, that if it is cool and breezy in Oxford you can guarantee that Blenheim Palace in Woodstock will have a bitter wind that will cut right through you. At the end of March, we were still getting snow flurries and temperatures just above freezing.

On the first weekend of April, I let out a huge sigh of relief. The temperature rose to double figures (just.) and the wind died down. Phew! I could abandon the “winter in spring” photo shoot—complete with hats and scarves—and embrace the newly blossomed daffodils.

It was lovely to celebrate the arrival of spring with such a warm, fun family!
